Our Team

David E. Farina, Senior Vice President/Investments, brings over 40 years of investment experience to Stifel. In 1980, he began his career with E.W. Smith of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which, through mergers with Gruntal & Co. in 1982, Ryan Beck in 2002, and Stifel in 2007, places him with the same financial institution for over 40 years. During this time David has consulted and managed personal funds, institutional municipal and local government, corporations, and non-profit organizations. With a focus in retirement planning, his career experience is in Defined Benefit, Defined Contributions, 401(k), 457, 403(b), and Deferred Compensation planning. David graduated in 1980 from the College of New Jersey with a bachelor's degree in Poltical Science and Public Administration. He has been a member of Stifel Chairman's Council and similar councils at predecessor firms for over 20 years. David is the associate pastor of Calvary Full Gospel Church in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. He has been married to his wife, Elaine, for over 35 years and resides in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Michael Becker, Financial Advisor Associate, has been in the financial service industry since 2006 and has been with Stifel since 2009. Prior to his financial services career, he spent 15 years as a medicinal chemist in drug discovery with firms in big pharma, biotech, and his own startup company. Michael strives to provide a relationship-focused client experience as a financial advisor associate, offering individualized private wealth management services. He works with Financial Advisors to develop investment strategies in line with client objectives, expectations, risk tolerance, and provides active and tactical managed investments through a modern portfolio theory approach while seeking to create retirement income to support a successful retirement plan.

Jonathan D. Farina, Registered Investment Associate, has been in the financial services industry since 2006 and has been with Stifel since 2007. With a focus on service and integrity, Jonathan develops and customizes financial strategies designed to help clients pursue their unique financial goals, analyzing income and cash flow to help preserve their wealth through retirement.

Jacqueline A. Caywood, Registered Client Service Associate, has over a decade of financial industry experience and has been with Stifel since 2010. She holds both a Series 7, General Securities Representative, and a Series 66, Investment Advisor Representative, licenses. Prior to Stifel, Jacqueline has held similar positions at Morgan Stanley and Merryll Lynch. She strives to make the investment experience enjoyable by specializing in customer service.

Barbara Lee Hogan, Registered Investment Associate, has more than 35 years of financial services industry experience, spanning from E.W. Smith Company in 1980 through mergers with Gruntal & Co., Ryan Beck and Stifel in 2007. Barbara believes that to succeed in life and reach goals one has to be willing to make sacrifices. In her 35-plus years in the securities business, she has devoted herself to building strong bonds with clients. She strives to gain an understanding of clients' requirements and provide them with the services they need to help pursue their financial goals, all the while assisting them to be more knowledgeable and comfortable in their investment lives.
